![]() ![]() The room was awful, and combined with the location we could of saved a lot of money and pitched up a tent in the adjoining field. We were gven a standard room - which we had asked for apparently. The hotel say that block H is now a premium room, no one ever told us this or explained this when we booked, we may well of paid the extra. repeat this until you are sick of hearing it and you get somewhere near my pain. So we complained to the front desk and they referred us to Monarch, who referred us to Carema, who referred us to Monarch. Dont get me wrong, I am fit and active and like walking and jogging, but this was ridiculous, I literally had to walk on the main road with the pushchair. This block is as far away from the facilities as you can get, and is a walk up a steep hill with a broken footpath which is very very difficult to navigate as you push a pushchair and all your equipment up and down it everyday. We also thought the room was adequate last time (although I did slip over on the dangerous floor and slice my elbow open which needed 3 stitches and hospital attention - that's another story) So, we checked in and were given the keys to a room in Block K. Anyway, last time we went we requested block H, this is very close to the facilities and is therefore ideal as we have a toddler who requires changing, feeding and sleeping. We went self catering this time as opposed to the all inclusive last time, it was not terrible when we had AI, it was just average and there is some lovely places to eat if you get about (we hired a car), plus the drinks from the AI bar at the pool are in tiny cups and diluted heavily. The main reason is the children, if you do not have children, do not even consider this resort as an option. In over 15 years of holidaying together we have never returned to a venue before, just because we like a bit of variety, but after an enjoyable stay in 2015 we decided to go again. My wife and i along with our 2 young children have just returned from Carema Club Playa in Fornells. This was our second visit to the carema having visited in 2014,not much has changed apart from the childrens area has moved up nearer the splash park and been replaced by a sort of chill out area with large bed type loungers we stayed self catering in a superior apartment and were given a room in block j quite a way from the main pool up about 3 flights of steps ,quite steep but not like ascending K2 as some people would have you believe the apartment was similar to a standard but for the obvious facelift and was cleaned daily, tried the all inclusive and remains excellent as ever, staff excellent as ever especially the gents in the main bar the only issue i would have with carema is the entertainment laid on Giovanni can be irritating at times and one of the shows was summed up perfectly by my 4 year old as he veiwed the stage the morning after and said "thats where the show was daddy ,it was awful" and for anyone to think a pool party in semi-darkness is a good idea borders on insanity all being said the carema is clean, food is great and fornells itself is very charming 4 stars is a fair reflection of whats on offer More Show less
